Android Widgets

Widgets on Android act as a window into the app they represent. With the launch of the Pixel 6 in October of 2021, we launched over a 20 widgets across 12 different Google apps.

Lead Design

I currently maintain and evolve the widget design guidelines within Google for Android. This includes collaborations with individual app teams at Google to understand critical user journeys and how to best apply widget design practices to the widget.

Not only are widgets on Android a key part of the visual language for Google and Material You, user adoption of widgets have seen steady growth over this last year. With the increased usage, we're continuing to find new ways to offer valuable widgets to users.

I worked closely with Tyler Gough on the Seed Studio team, and in October of 2021 we launched 12+ widgets across multiple Google products as apart of the Pixel 6 launch.
